TEAM OF MONGOLIA ACHIEVED THE SECOND PLACE IN THE 2013 FILA WORLD CUP FEMALE WRESTLING

Mongolia for the first time successfully hosted and participated in the 13th FILA World Cup Female Wrestling took place in Buyant-Ukhaa Sports Palace, Ulaanbaatar on March 02-03, 2013. This year Mongolia to organize 5-6 regional and world-level competitions, and one of the first biggest event was the Women's Wrestling FILA Freestyle World Cup 2013,
where 8 Qualified Teams of Belarus, Canada, China, India, Japan, Kazakhstan, United States and Mongolia have competed.
The 2013 FILA World Cup Female Wrestling brought athletes of two Olympic medalists, three World Cup Champions, 10 World Cup medalists, 14 Champions of World Youth and Student Championships, 8 Champions of Regional Tournaments
and 4 Champions of Regional Spartakiad, moreover other medalists from the World Youth and Student Freestyle Wrestling Championships have challenged that showed how it was competitive. Eight Qualified Teams were divided into two Groups, whereas in Group “A” were Belarus, China, Kazakhstan and United States, and Group “B” were drawn Canada, India, Japan and Mongolia. After the first day competition held on March 02, 2013, at the Final Standing China led in its Group “A” with 18 matches won followed by United States, Belarus and Kazakhstan, where Mongolia led in its Group “B” with 13 matches won followed by Japan, India and Canada, the results are as follows:

Accordingly, Teams of Canada and Kazakhstan have qualified for the 7th Place Match, where Canada won over its opponent by scores of 6:1.
Teams of Belarus and India have qualified for the 5th Place Match, where India won over by 5:2.
Teams of Japan and the United States have qualified for the Bronze Medal Match, where Japan won over by 4:3.
Teams of China and Mongolia have qualified for the Gold Medal Match, where China won over Mongolian Team by scores of 4:3.
