Horse riding is the perfect way to see the true Mongolia; to see the nomadic life style first hand and to become part of the wilderness, to feel the countries unique heritage and great history. The Mongols have a long and lively equestrian tradition.
The camels are Bactrian and have two humps. The Gobi is the perfect place to experience all the fun of camels which are surprisingly more comfortable than horse riding as they walk slowly and gently, and shepherds will be well supported by the humps, sitting comfortably between them. The best time to visit the Gobi is June or September. Beautiful scenery and exhilarating riding - a wonderful combination!
When you riding in Mongolia you will see nomadic herders at work, eat Mongolian food, and see some of the most beautiful unspoiled countryside in the world. Mongolian culture and hundreds of years of Mongolian history are tightly connected with the horse and modern Mongolia is one of the last real horse cultures left in the world.
