The nomads of Mongolia have celebrated several holidays namely, Tsagaan Sar lunar new year and the Great Naadam over the millennia and now some of them are celebrated as festivals such as the Great Naadam festival ranked as the 6th biggest festival in the world.
Today Mongolia has many public holidays: Independence Day, Women’s Day, Naadam Festival, Lunar New year, Children’s Day and Nauryz (of the Kazakhs) to name a few.
